I’m reaching out to get a better sense of what’s considered a fair rate for commercial cleaning Linton. I recently took over management of a small shopfront business (retail and admin in one space), and the previous owner used to clean it all themselves. I’ve quickly realised that’s not sustainable, so I’m looking into hiring a professional cleaner – maybe 2–3 hours, twice a week.

However, I’m getting wildly different quotes. Some companies are quoting as low as £13 an hour, while others are well over £20. It’s confusing and I don’t know what the norm is – I don’t want to overpay, but I also don’t want to be cheap and end up with a service that’s unreliable or cut corners.

It would also help to know how you measure whether a cleaner is “worth the price.” Is it about speed, thoroughness, customer service, or flexibility?

Any advice, personal experiences, or local recommendations would be incredibly helpful – this is all new territory for me, and I want to get it right.
